                 I graduated from VSU in 1975 and 76, and from UF in 1981.  I married Janet Brinson(class

                  0f 73) in 1976.  We have three children. Laura (born in 1980) is married and teaching

                 school in New Orleans.  Alison (born in 1982) is married and working on a master's in

                 speech pathology at UT in Dallas.  Scott (born in 1988) will graduate from LHS in 2007. 

                 All three were/are part of the Georgia Bridgemen.  I teach English at VSU and Janet

                 teaches third grade at Georgia Christian.

                 Nashville Tn. My mom and brother are living in Hahira and Valdosta and I go down to visit

                 every year. We lost my dad in 1982 to a heart attack. He lived everyday for the students at

                  LHS. Go Vikings!!

                 Me and my husband have been in business for ourselves for 21 years. We own Clanton's

                 Welding, Morven Tan & Fitness, and Clanton's Rentals. We have two children Lee

                 Clanton(25) and Katie Clanton-Gordon(23). Our children are married; Lee to Samantha Dell

                  Clanton and Katie to Derek Gordon. Also we have two grandson's Tyler Clanton(5) and

                 Dylan Gordon(3). Lee is a fire fighter captain of Quitman fire dept. and a Regional

                 paramedic. Katie is studying to be a nurse at VSU.

                 I have been in Valdosta since graduation. I have been working in the Lowndes county

                 schools transportation since graduation. I have been married to Paula N. Folsom for 28

                 years (1972) I have two children (Mitch 25years and Marianne 19 years) As far far as my

                 future, I plan to grow old in Valdosta.

                 Upon graduation from LHS I went to work with The John T. Friis Co. In the late 70's work

                 was tight here in Valdosta so my wife and I decided to work and travel. From 1977 to 1985

                  we went to Texas, North Dakota, Wyoming, Savannah and Jacksonville and returned to

                 Valdosta in 1985 when I began again to work with the Friis Co.  We have been priviledged

                 to make two trips to Southern Russia to participate in an English Camp with university age

                  students and to work in an orphanage for a week. We have two children: Zach a graduate

                 of VSU,attending GA Tech as a GRA and working on his Master's and Amber a graduate

                 of GSU with a TR degree, presently she is in the Peace Corp serving in Romania.

                 Hi there...I graduated from Lowndes High in 1971.  I married right after high school and

                 was married for 20 yr. I have been divorced for the past 9 yr now.  I have two sons...Randy

                 26 yr old and Brandon 14 yr old...also two grandchildren Summer 5 yr old and Dalton 7 yr

                 old.  I have been a nurse for well over 15 yr and have done psychiatric and substance

                 abuse nursing for ten years...geriatrics for 3 yrs, some medical surgical also, but

                 presently am doing private nursing for a little girl that is terminal.  I love nursing but am

                 presently pursuing a dual degree in computers, both,  computer networking and Microsoft

                 specialist, as I am tired of watching people die.  It's much easier to watch a computer

                 crash, unless it's your own computer LOL.  I just happened on this page for Lowndes High

                  ,and,  was so surprised to see it...Just seeing my old class mates pictures bought tears

                 to my eyes remembering the old times at school...I forgot how much I missed my

                 friends.It made me realize how times flies by....Just imagine us being grandparents!!!!!

                 OMG!!!!...For those of you who remember my brother Kenny...even he is a

                 grandparent...imagine that LOL....Even my sister Rosslyn is a grandmother...boy how

                 time files when your having fun!!!....For those of you who remember me and want to say hi,

                 After graduating from LHS I traveled extensively as a musician with several different

                 singing groups.  In 1976 I entered the ministry. Since that time I have served as evangelist

                 and pastor.  I'm currently the senior pastor of a church in Brunswick GA.  I have a lovely

                 wife, Angel, and two sons, Jason and Austin.  Life has been good and I hope all my "old

                 classmates" are doing well. It was great to find this website and see so many old friends. 

                 I have many fond memories of Lowndes High, especialy the band, and Billy Martin.

                 I moved to Atlanta in 1975, I have a BSN in nursing, have been married for 28 years and

                 have two great young men. Brandon is 21 and is attending VSU, Eric is 24, graduated for

                 Ga. State University, holds a position as youth pastor at our church and will attend

                 graduate school in Sept. 2002.  I am an RN and after (serving my time) doing hospital

                 nursing for 26 years, I am now working for a physician in Atlanta doing research.  This is a

                  great web site, I can't believe the people I have found.  Thanks

                 After graduation I moved to Wichita, Kansas.  Have lived here since.  I have worked for the

                 Boeing Airplane Company for the past 16 yrs as a Mfg. Engr.  My wifes name is Carol

                 who was born and raised in the area.  We have two daughters that keep us very busy.  I

                 still keep active although I've put on a few pounds since 1971 and do some coaching in

                 basketball and girls fastpitch softball.  Would love to hear from the class of 1971.

                 I went in the USAF during Vietnam, Feb.1975; was medically retired 1989, athritis and

                 ulcers. I never went to Nam; but as a Medic, I took care of them when they came back.

                 Saw some terrible things. My Dad was never the same after he came back. I went back to

                  school on the GI Bill, got my Paralegal Degree from Lake Sumter Community College;

                 but I will never work for an attorney. They are all crooks! I thought about being a school

                 counselor because they helped me so much; so I have about 3 years of psychology

                 courses, too. Just need to add them all up and find out exactly what I need to get a

                 degree. Was married before and have a wonderful 27 yr old daughter. She was the Angel

                 God gave me. Still waiting on grandkids; but I work in the Church Nursery, so that helps

                 alot. Dave and I have been together 11 years. I have a truely blessed life. My husband is

                 so good to me; but in previous relationships it wasn't always that way. God saved me the

                 "BEST" for last. Right now, I am trying to decide if I want to stay in Nursing or go into Real

                  Estate, or Counseling. Florida is really booming. We have too many people coming down

                 here; so Dave and I will probably be moving back to Georgia in about 10 years. He is from

                 the Ocala area and works for the City/Electric Dept. I told him he could retire when our

                 home is paid off. He's got 10 years or less. We live in Ocklawaha, which is near The

                 Villages. That place used to be 12 miles away. Now it's about 5. Them old farts are

                 moving in on us! But wait, I'm an old retired fart, too!! We are very involved in the MVPA.

                 We also have a Jeep Club, Just For Jeeps of Florida and my husband is almost finished

                 restoring a 70 AMX. He lives in the garage after work building vehicles. He is the "Jeep

                 Man" mechanic around here. We have an M-715 he is going to build next. I wanted a little

                 blue AF Medic Jeep and he built me one. His son wanted an ARMY truck. We have an

                 olive green J-10 with all the army trimmings, except the machine gun. He loves building

                 these vehicles, so that is probably what he will do when we retire. We might just have to

                 go to Thomasville, GA and give Russell Deese some competition. Ya'll come and see us!!

                 i have been a truck escort for oversize load trucks since 1977. i still work with the trucking

                  industry part time. in 2003, i started a business called gingerbread flowerbed care, here in

                  valdosta. currently, i attend valdosta tech. college to receive my diploma as a horticultural

                  specialist. i already hold a certificate as a landscaping specialist, and also one in

                 horticulture maintenance technology. i am divorced and have two children. my daughter,

                 Yancie, will be 38 in june. she is married to jason kajfis and have 4 children. my son,

                 randy coffman, is 32, married to edwina (e.j.). they have 2 children. all live in valdosta.
