[Spearman] Picture mblanton@guardianbankonline.com
I just celebrated 32 years
in banking and I love it. I retired
as CFO and HR Officer of Commercial Banking Company
in Valdosta, stayed home a couple of years and then answered a call to return
to banking as a loan officer and branch manager of Guardian Bank. I was married to John Thursby (class of 1974)
for ten years, married to Freddie Daniels for 13 years and
divorced for seven years. I love
class reunions! I met an old
classmate (didn't know
him in school), Jeff Blanton (class of 1975) and married him in July 2008. The
third time's a charm! He's the
best husband ever! I've had a house at Twin Lakes for 13 years and
he has a home in the country so we enjoy the best of both worlds. I never had children but
have some wonderful nieces and nephews.
I rode motorcycles during my divorced life
and I loved it. Met a lot of
fun and wonderful people and riding was something I never dreamed
I'd ever do. It was good to see
everyone at our reunion a couple of years ago.
Everyone seemed the same. Wish you all the very best!

After graduation - attended
VSC for couple of semesters before getting married to a wonderful young man, Cyrce(who
is my current "old man")!
Cy is from St. Louis so we moved here to settle down
and raise a family. Before starting
a family though we took long detour - via college/univeristies
and beginning new careers. I
earned BA - Psychology and BS - Social
Work from University of MO - St. Louis and MSW from Washington University -
St. Louis. I worked as a clinical
social worker/manager for 20 yrs in mental health field. I switched career recently and am utilizing
my "people skills" to recruit allied therapists
for a therapy managment company. My
husband has a degree in robotics engineering and
works for Boeing in St. Louis. We
have 2 handsome sons, 17 and 15 attending LHS (Lindbergh
High School). I cannot believe
I will be celebrating 30yr anniversaries - high school
graduation and marriage! Wow
- where did the time go? Looking forward to hearing
from my yesteryear friends! IM - Yahoo - moonqyoung1

Picture swtpeach@wildmail.com
After graduating I went
to VSC for a couple of years, had a thought to be a teacher like my mother, but realized the pay was not the greatest.
Took a couple of years off to find my 'footing', then decided
to get out of the south Georgia world, so I joined the Navy. After boot camp, I went to weather
school in the midwest for 6 months, and was shipped off to Bermuda for 2 years.
Darn the luck! There I played volleyball, softball and basketball,
though I was not nearly
as fast as in my younger days....you know the ole saying....the heart has the spirit, the
body just can't keep up! From
there I was stationed at Mayport, outside of Jacksonville
for the last 2 years, where I decided I would go back to school for
computer science, which
I did at night, and got my BS just after leaving the Navy in '87. Worked in Jacksonville
for a few more years, then took a job in Columbia, SC, which in turn sent me to Sidney,
Australia for about 3 months. Not
that I had a chance to see it...working too many hours in a day, I felt like the doughnut
man...."Time to make the doughnuts". From that job I went to Atlanta, where I lived
for the last few years, but am selling my house there
as I am now in the new england region of my company. I currently am a senior software consultant, have a wonderful
partner, and am having to 'learn' how to be a mommie, which for those of you who know
me, probably think that is no problem.
Hope all is well with you...take
care....Insane DeVane....*s*

My sister Cathy (LHS 73)
told me about this site and it was a nice surprise, just in time for our 30th reunion.
My husband Ross and I will drive down from Macon where we live.
I moved to Macon from Cordele
in 1987 to finish school at Mercer to be a Family Therapist. My other careers have been Aircraft Electronics,Bookkeeping,Probation
Officer and Childcare Center Director.
I have happily landed part time as a family therapist for a non- profit agency in Macon
these past 10 years. We will
ask my parents, Hank and Betty Berry (that still live
on Lakeland Avenue in Valdosta),to keep our 10 year old son and 6 year old daughter while
we come to the renunion. On this
website Angie Goodin Sheffer said she and Dan were late
bloomers with a 13 year old daughter, Callie. I guess that makes us later bloomers.
Let me help you with the math. I
was 42 when Kathleen was born in 2000. We had planned James and Kathleen-but had planned
for them to be born 10 years earlier. We are glad to have them now and have the best
time raising them together. They have two step brothers, Matthew 22 and
Tyler 21. We visit Valdosta several times a year to
visit family and celebrate babies, weddings and holidays.

1 and 4 when we got married. I then had two boys of my own 11 years later! I now have
four boys, Chris 31, Bryan 28, Zack 16, Cameron 13. I couldn't be happier. Just got laid
off from a 10 year job as an Administrative Assistant for a Telecommunications company
here in Atlanta so right now I am unemployed and helping out in our family business.
My husband Donnie and two older sons work together in our family's Dish Network Sattelite

After Graduating in 1976
I attended Valdosta State College and graduated in 1980. Was commissioned a lieutentent
in the USAF and went to fly as an aircrew member on the E- 3A AWACS. Completed my
Masters of Science Degree in 1994 at the University of Southern California. Have
traveled all over the world in the last 22 years. I am now a Lt Colonel--just completed
an assignment at the Pentagon, and am now stationed at Ft McPherson in Atlanta Ga.
Have been married for 22 years to Laurie Danford (Valdosta State College class of
1979). Looking forward to hearing from any old classmates from 1974-76.

nurse, run a charitable Foundation; enjoy time at our log home in Blue Ridge, GA
where we go as often as possible. Get
back to Valdosta often since my entire family
still lives there. Went to the

This is so cool. I've often wondered what became of some good
friends from my Hahira days, and now here they
are on the web. I'm sure a lot
of you thought I'd end up in prison and you were right. I'm a correctional officer at a maximum security
prison. I've been "inside" for
almost seven years. I got married
(for the first time) almost five years ago.
I've got two wonderful step-kids who are growing up
much too fast. My step-daughter is twelve and has just discovered boys. My step-son will be ten soon and still enjoys
watching cartoons and riding his
bike. I would love to hear from
any of my former classmates.

I'm a 1976 grad living
and working in Topeka, Kansas. I am married with two boys, age 5 and 2. I work for a local
college as a Career Services Specialist. Would enjoy hearing from (old?) classmates. Could you tell me when the next reunion is for
that class? Also, I have quite a few friends
from 1975, and would be interested to know the date of their next reunion.
