WOW, I can't believe I
found this site! Great idea. After graduating in 1977, I joined the
Armed Forces....US Navy.
I completed my BS in Nursing at Western Carolina University on a Navy scholarship.
It was there that I met my wife, Cindy, and we now have two boys(Chris & Alex).
I anticipate retiring from the military the summer of 2000 and settling
in Highlands, NC. Still
get back to Valdosta every now and then to see family and stir up some old ghost.

I moved to Fla. my Junior
year but still feel that LHS is "my" school. I went to VSC and graduated in 1981. Taught
TMR students for two years. Went
back to VSC for my masters while teaching
B.D. children in Brooks County. I
taught MOID/SID/PID students for 7 years in Turner County.
I married in 1988. We have two girls-one born in 1990 and one in 1991. I currently (2002)teach Preschool Special Ed.
in Worth County. My Husband is a 3rd grade
teacher in Worth County. We stay
busy with Church activities, Girl Scouts, 4H and School.
(not necessarily in that order.) I would love to hear from some of my schoolmates.

works as a secretary with the public defender’s office. Single. No
children. But have 3 nieces and 2 great-nephews that I
love to pieces, thanks to my sisters and brother.
I love my family! And right up there with my family are my wonderful
friends. How lucky I am to have these people in my life!!
Sherry (Sandlin) Zipperer and I attended the Friday night
event of our 30 year class reunion.
It was great seeing everyone! The football game was fun; the band is still
the greatest high school marching band ever; and my how the school has
changed. Look forward to our

until 1985. Moved to Philadelphia, Pa. in 1985 worked in the healthcare field as an
accountant until recently when I joined Verizon Communications (formerly Bell Atlantic)as
an accountant. I have a beautiful

Ray Lloyd, Ronnie Duff and Ricky and many many more)
I have often wondered what had happened to everyone and how did their lives turn
out, as well as everyone hoped and dreamed for in our youth. I would love to hear from

When I graduated from LHS
I went on to VSU and then continued at Valdosta Tech. Graduating from Valdosta
Tech, I went on to work at Colson Printing as a bindery supv. In 1979 I married John A.
Crum, alumni of 1976 (works for Bellsouth as a cable repairmen). We have been married for
26 years. We have two Children, Meredith (8th grade at Lowndes Middle) and Jayson
(6th grade at Lowndes Middle). I
work for Hallmark Cards Inc. as a Territory Trainer.
We are active members of the Forrest Park Church of Christ.
John serves as a deacon
there and we both teach in the Bible School program. Our kids are active in sports, school
and the the Youth Program at Church. We still live in the same house we did when we married. We are content
with life.

college. Married Ervin Drury from Brunswick. Moved to Houston, Texas for 8 years.
Relocated to Marietta, Ga. in 1986. Ervin is a Paint Contractor in business
for himself since 1979. I am a Fleet Operations Supervisor with Marietta City Schools Transportation
Department (12+ years). We have a 16 year old son who attends Marietta High
School. I have 4 of 6 brothers still living in Lowndes and surrounding counties. I
visit Valdosta about twice a year. Have never attended a Class Reunion, was very quiet
and shy in school, and did not have many friends. I sure am GLAD I've overcome most
of my shyness. ;-)

Yes, I married my high
school sweetheart! Richard and
I married in 1981 and have 3 children. Shanna,18 - Brent,11 - Kaylee,8. We are still married and plan to grow old together. We have had decent lives even though we have
lived through much heart ache with our first born,Shanna,
being born severely handicapped and spending most of her life in hospitals fighting for
her life. We live with nursing
care in the home for her part-time so we can keep her at home
with the family. Richard has
his own home repair business and works part-time as a hunting
guide (which he loves ). I worked for a local bank here in Valdosta for 26 years until
new Corporate America management let me go to keep from having to pay for my handicapped
child and my soon coming up retirement from them.(Raw deal) I am now
a stay at home mom which is harder work believe me! I miss the good ole days of high
school and cheerleading and hope to hear from any of our class. We had a wonderful class!!

removed from my pancreas in March of 2004 but am doing

the navy, and was stationed on board the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67. The home port for
Kennedy was Norfolk, VA but it did not stay in port very much back then. I married Regina
Roark, which is the younger sister to Lisa Roark. Lisa graduated with us in 77.
I have three children, Heather 18 years old, Ricky 17 years old and Brock 8 years old.
I've worked for the Lowndes county sheriff's office since 1983 and I
plan to retire here. I
live in Clyattville, Georgia.

I was Georgia born &
raised, and will probably die here with deep roots! I have been working my current job
(for 23 years) with a fire sprinkler contrator selling and installing
commercial fire protection.
I am currently married (my second time, first was a BOMB) to a "Yankee girl"
from the DC area (believe it or not), for almost 18 great years. I have
a step-daughter 27 and a
step-son 24. We have (4) grandsons aging from 11 to 2 years old, GOD I FEEL OLD. I hope
life has been as good to all of my classmates (and their families) as it has been

Actually graduated from
K-town High in Germany but went to LHS Soph and Junior Year. Went to FSU, flew F-111's
in the Air Force, got an MBA, got off active duty. Moved back to Tallahassee and stayed
in the reserves, flying AC-130 Gunships.
Went to Desert Storm and have currently
been activated and away from my family since Sep 01. My regular civilian job is
with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. I've been with the state
for over 15 years. Married with

Wow! Been a long time since
I have seen some of you! My parents moved away from Valdosta while I was in
college so no relatives there now. I have lived all over the country
but still consider Valdosta
my "home". I live in the New Orleans area now. After college
I spent about a dozen years
as a Coast Guard aviator..still in the Reserves...just spent 8 months at Guantanamo Bay.
Have worked in/around the oil industry for the last dozen or so. Would love to hear
from some of you. My old saxophone is still hanging on a nail in the barn...have not picked
it up in years!

Hi everyone. I've come a long way from the shy student at
LHS! I am the Training Director for the Georgia Sheriffs' Association. I travel
all over the state conducting conferences and training, instruct on law enforcement issues,
am editor of our magazine plus many more hats - and I love it! I
live in Darien (north of Brunswick) but work in Atlanta. 1st marriage
wasn't too good but have
a beautiful 23 year old daughter. She's
currently attending Georgia Southern. However, I truly lucked up the second time around.
Larry & I have been married for 18 years. By the way, in the "professional"
world I use my first name, Tonia. I'd love to hear from everyone.

Johns Hopkins U. in Baltimore (81) and Georgia Tech (94), then hiked the Appalachian Trail (2,150 mi.) in 95.
Since then, I've worked in Tallahassee, San Francisco, and Seattle, and am now with the Army
Corps of Engineers in Winchester, Va. The center I work at does US military design
and construction in the Middle East and Central Asia. Spent much of 2005 on the Persian
Gulf and also spent a couple months on the US Gulf coast doing Hurricane relief; am
heading to Afghanistan in March 2006.
