I'm one of the few who
never left Valdosta. I graduated
from Valdosta State University with a degree in Criminal Justice but, I've been working
in the mortgage business for the past 29 years. I married in 1981 and have 2 great children
(Katie, 21, who cheered, graduated and was crowned Miss LHS
in 2005 & Blanton, 18, an avid guitar player and skateboarder who's a Senior at LHS). I tragically lost my husband in 1997 and remarried
a couple of years later. Needless to say, things just didn't work out.
I've enjoyed watching my kids grow up attending Lowndes
County schools. It's kept me
active with LHS and and the Viking spirit close in
my heart. It was really great
seeing so many of our classmates at the 20 yr reunion. Let's be sure #30 doesn't get by us without
meeting up again.

Five years after I graduated,
I did four years in the military, which included a tour in Turkey, Korea, and Texas.
I met my husband, John, in Turkey. We have been married 23 years. We have been stationed
in Georgia, Texas, Hawaii, and currently reside in Virginia. We have one child, Stefanee. She is starting
her third year at Old Dominion University, double majoring in accounting
and finance. Currently I hold two part-time jobs. I work at Curves for Women (fitness
technician), and Long & Foster Realty (administrative assistant). I also hold a referral agent license at Long
& Foster. John retired from
the military after 26 years
and is still working for the Army as a civilian. We live in Prince George, Virginia. We attend
the Rock Church of Petersburg, Virginia. I teach adult Sunday school and children's church. Blessing to the Class of 78.

A couple years after graduating,
I began working with a real estate firm in Valdosta in the Accounting Dept. I was
there for five years and then began a daycare in my home after the birth of my second son. A career in exchange
for time with my sons and I'd do it all over exactly the same if I had
another chance.. it's been a blessing.
That was 17 years ago but I still do home daycare
and I also do accounting and secretarial work for my church as well. I
am the head of Children's Ministry in my church and love working with
the kids there...anyone who really
knows me knows how much I've always loved children :) I love to write Inspirational
poetry and I do alot of graphics work on the computer... some of which you'll find on my
website. I also do alot of chatting online too...pssst...I'm not as
shy and quiet as most of you will remember me being
way back when..lol. We moved away from Valdosta in 1989 and
now live in the suburbs of Atlanta.
Mike and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary
this past year and we have two sons, Michael, who is 21, and Daniel, who is 17 and graduating
from High School this year. Michael
is in the Army and is currently stationed
in Texas. Daniel has already
joined the Army Reserves and will be going to basic training
this summer and then on to college (unless he is called up for duty). God's blessed me
with two great kids and I love them lots!
I'd love to get back in contact with some of my
friends from Jr. High and High School that I've lost contact with. {{{{{{{Mona, Jody, Sheila}}}}}}}

In July 2007, I had to
move from Virginia back to Valdosta after 28 years. My parents became ill and someone
had to live with them. Out of four siblings, they chose me. Anyway, I've been back
for a little over a year now and is still adjusting to life in Valdosta.

I went off to college for
a year and came back to Valdosta. I then went to work for an electric company and I
done that type of work for 11 years.
After that I my electical back ground landed me a job
with the City of Valdosta. I have been working for the city for 18 years now. Along the way
I married Kathy Johnson (LHS '83). We have been married 25 years and we have 3 wonderful
girls. April 22, Carol 18 and Morgan 7. April is married to Justin Fountain and they
had a son that was born on May 9th 2008. Carol starts to VSU this fall. Morgan is in
the 2nd grade at Echoles County School. My wife works in the front office at The Echoles County
School. We have lived in Echoles County for the past 4 years.

Hello everyone! This is a great website! Thank you very much to Larry Noles for putting
it together for all of us!
I graduated from - then, VSC - with a B.B.A. in Accounting.
I worked for a short time
in Public Accounting and then started a 21-year career with Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
I lived in Brunswick, GA for 12 years and was a cost accountant at the pulp
mill. I moved back to Valdosta
in 1995 when I became the plant controller for PROPRINT.
I left G-P in 2004 after our plant gained a new general manager
as our accounting philosophies
didn't quite match. I have worked
at several jobs in the Valdosta area since G-P,
and I am currently the Registrar at Valdosta Technical College, and I absolutely love it!
I finally became a C.P.A. in 2001, and I also teach Accounting
at Valdosta Technical College
as an adjunct instructor. I enjoy
working in the community, especially with elementary
schools and have done some volunteering in the school systems since moving back
to Valdosta. I look forward to
hearing from you, and I am looking very forward to
our 30-year reunion! Hope to
see all of you there! Keep in

II World Series in Riverside California. Earned my Bachelors
Degree from VSC in Criminal Justice, and in 2002 Earned my Master Degree in Public Administration from
Columbus State Univ. Married my wife Rhonda in August of 1992.
I have worked at the Tifton Police Department for 24 years and currently hold the rank
of Captain. No kids, just a Rottwieler, a Bassett Hound, and a Persian cat.

Graduated early then married
a Valdosta Wildcat the day after I turned 18. Managed to stay married for 12 years.
Married again and that lasted 1 1/2 years.
Decided I needed a change so I left Valdosta
and moved to South Beach Miami - what a great choice while I was still single and childless.
Had a great time - was truly an eyeopening expeience.
Met a guy from Cuba and
make a decision to have a child with him.
By this time I was 35 and had to go on bed rest in order to save my
pregnancy. Moved to Fort Myers
where my Mom lived and on October 10, 1995 ( a month ahead
of schedule) I had the son that I had wanted for years. His nme is Brandon Matthew Vega and he is an
A-B honor roll student, he plays the French Horn and the Steel Drums.
He has severe ADHD, OCD and Tourette's Syndrome but
with medication we get along just fine.
Met and married a Chicago native in March
of 1999. He is great with Brandon
- in fact they are a lot alike. We run a husband and wife
remodeling company called Certified Home Improvements. I love every aspect of the
business. Would love to hear
from any of my classmates. In
school I was kinda shy
and quiet so I was pretty forgetable but I've come a long way baby!!!!

After graduation, I attended
Valdosta State and then transferred to ABAC in Tifton. I got married in July of 1980
to Lewis Gregory also an alumni of LHS (1976).
This July will make 26 years we have been
married. We have two children
a daughter (Kayla, 24) who graduated from Armstrong
Atlantic University in Savannah, GA with a BSN in Nursing and a son (Vonnie, 21) who
is currently in his third year at Valdosta State University majoring
in Information Systems.
My husband served in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years
of honorable service. We traveled extensively (Mobile Al, Pensacola
FL, Japan, Washington DC, Guam, and currenly
living in Kingsland, Georgia.) We
visit Valdosta often as we are only approximately 2 hours
away. My husband works at the
Navy College Learning Center as an Education
Facilitator and I work for the Department of Defense as an Executive Management Assistant
for the Naval Submarine Base Commanding and Executive Officer. We attend the First African Missionary Baptist
Church where we are both very active members.
I'm looking forward to hearing from old classmates.

sweetheart, Charles Hall, class of 1976. We have been married 27 1/2 years and have 3
children. Courtney is a 24 yr nurse, Jared is a 20 yr old Jr psychology major at VSU
and Jocelyn is a 17 yr old Sr. at LHS. She is a member of the Vikette Softball team.
I am a secretary/tech for 1st America Drugs in Hahira. We have been blessed with three
great children,a good familylife and a wonderful marriage. We are looking forward to spending
time traveling, sailing and etc. Just enjoying life.

and remembered several names.Anyone remember skipping and going

I moved to Tampa to attend

who was a friend of my cousin, Sheila. I introduced Sheila to Keith Reed. They are married and live in Blakely, Ga. David & I live in Temple Terrace, just outside
of Tampa. We have 3 children,
Jordan 19, freshman in college,
Josh,17 senior in High School and Tanner, 15, 9th grader. I teach Jazzercise at our local rec center and manage
Tanner's hockey team. We still
get up to Valdosta to visit at least

I married just out of high
school and had two children Luke 28 and Jenny 27. The marriage didn't last but
I'm blessed to have two super kids out of it.
I lived in North Carolina for a few years
and started college at 32. I
ultimately moved back to Hahira and earned a B.B.A. in accounting
from VSU while working at Lowndes County Board of Education. I now live in Fernandina Beach, FL and I'm
a project manager for a software development company.
My focus is implementation of financial software for government
entities. I work out of my home and travel every other
week or so in the Southeast. In
my spare time my significant other and I enjoy the
beach, fishing and bicycle riding. We
also enjoy our toys...his is a Harley and mine is
a 1965 Mustang convertible. We
have two 65 pound mutts that we adore.

and finally worked for the Army here on Redstone Arsenal from 1997 -2008. I've earned 10 US Patents over the years, 7
in the Automotive Sensors field and 3 in the Missile
Guidance field. I met Susan Gorman
in Birmingham while working on my Mechanical
Engineering degree. She was a
nursing student then. She now teaches Nursing here
in Decatur at the Calhoun Community College Nursing School. We were married October 29th, 1983 and have since
had three children, Sarah (1987), Deborah (1990) and Thomas
(1991). Recently our daughter
Deborah was married (September 6th, 2008).

After graduation I stayed
in Valdosta for a year working at Coca-Cola and then attended West Georgia College for
a while. I decided to become a firefighter and quit college. I was hired by Gwinnett County
in 1981 and have been working here ever since. I was married for 12 years and have 2 boys now 20 and 13. I was
divorced for a while and am now married to Gina for 6 years living
in Suwanee near Atlanta with her, my 13 year old, a dog and a cat. Gina is a drama teacher
and theatre director at Norcross High School. For all of you that were in drama let
me say that I now know how much work is involved in it. Norcross has had good football teams
in the past and we hope to meet LHS in the playoffs at some point. The last 2 years
they beat North Gwinnett for the region championship but the Vikings embarassed them
in the state championship. Anyway we enjoy traveling mostly and take trips whenever
possible. Work keeps us busy and the 13 year old plays baseball and football which keeps us busier. I will be
retiring on or around Jan. 2010 so I hope to have more time to do what
I want to do. I just found out about this website recently so maybe I will submit a recent
photo of me with a normal haircut. If you live in the Atlanta area (or not) let me hear
from you.

Hi, Ho classmates! What have I been doing since June 1978? Well...let
me see...Started college in the fall of
78 at VSC and went 2 quarters until they kicked me out for poor academic performance,
a 1.0. After that I went to Valdosta Technical to study
the machinist trade. Didn't much care for that either so I did what
all good red blooded Americans do when they
don't know what else to do with their lives ... I joined the military
(Navy)after I completed
basic training and 'A' school I married my high school sweetheart Denise Voltz (also a LHS
78 Grad -- one people remember), because now I was making a living. Have been blessed with 4 children: Gretchen
Denise (20) now attending Old Dominion University, Gerald
Andrew (11) will attend middle school this coming year, Gabrielle Marie (10) and
Gunther Voltz who are both in elementary school. Towards the end of my 20 year Navy
career I decided to go back to school to get my degree. In 2001 I graduated top of my class
from ODU with a 4.0 gpa, a small change from my earlier attempt at getting an education
and becoming less ignorant. My
degree is in Technology Education and I taught
middle school for 3 years after retiring from the Navy. Loved teaching, but couldn't
make ends meet...wife and kids kinda like to eat and such, so I landed a job as an energy
consultant. Loving the travel
meeting new people from all over the US and abroad. Denise is still putting up with me and we currently
live in a place we can truly call home, Carrsville,
VA. Physically not much has changed
for me I'm still fat and ugly, but now I'm also
bald. Don't know if we'll be
able to make it to the 30th reunion due to the scheduling,
but would love to hear from any of you guys.

see, what'd I do? Went to VSC for one year, took a year off, went to the U.of Maine
for a year. Joined the Marines and played in the Marine Band for 4 years in New Orleans.
Got married, got out of the service, worked for an eyeglass company, got divorced,
got married again, got divorced again, graduated from Tulane University, played guitar
for a living in the bars on Bourbon Street for about 5 years, got tired of that, went to
the Virgin Islands playing gigs and drinking rum, came back to the states and wound up in
NYC. Worked in the eyeglass racket again, went to the Hamptons, met miss wonderful,
got married again, and here we are…

Thought I should update
after the 20 yr reunion - I still laugh when I think of that gathering
- where has the time gone? So good to see old friends and catch up. For all who didn't go - don't miss our next one! As for me - I'm in Jacksonville, FL and have
lived here for 20+ years. One son, Will, at
UNF, working on his 4 yr and then on to physical therapy - another 3 yrs. He also competes in power lifting. He's been a total joy! I was married for 17 years and recently divorced.
I work for Wachovia (Wells Fargo) and manage a small group of tax planners for
Estate Settlement Services. We
also do compliance work. It's
a very interesting job and I love what I do.
I graduated from VSU in 1983 with a BBA - major in accounting.
I'm also a CPA. Jacksonville
has been a fun place to live - a lot
to do and I LOVE the water. The beach is 30 mins away. I now have "the empty nest" and oddly
enough, it isn't at all
what I thought it would be. Will
and I are still close but I do enjoy doing my own thing! I love music and sing on the worship team at
my church. I'm brushing up on my rusty
piano skills and working on learning to harmonize - hard when you are used to singing
melody. Love going to the Keys,
the Dry Tortugas to snorkel was a recent trip. Hope to travel more soon.

After graduation, I moved
to Miami, FL for a few months to live with a sister. Had planned to go to a Jr. college.
But I got a job and did the party scene. Then I moved back to Valdosta in Dec. 78. I
was turning 18 so I got a job at the new Waffle House that was opening on Ashley St. Then
I ended up getting married in July 79 to a guy named Wesley Royal. His dad was a teacher
at Lowndes high. We had a rough 2 and a half years together. I had known him
since I was 15. He moved to Fl.
and I filed for the divorce. I started to go to Val-Tech
to get my head straight and worked at the Valdosta Inn for awhile. I met another man
there. We dated for a year. He moved to Oklahoma for job reasons. In 1982 I found
myself moving too, in Dec. We were married (Robert D. Klein) lived in Altus, OK for
4 years then moved to Panama City, FL and lived there for 5 years. He got a job with American
Airlines and moved to Arlington, TX.
That is where I am today. Two big things have happened since I moved here.
My husband of almost 11 years divorced me. We are o.k.
friends now.I met Jesus Christ He is the main man in my life. I have also married again.
His named is Joseph M. Thomas. Along with me and my 3 sons, and along with him came 2 daughters and 1 son.
Yes we make the brady bunch. .then in 1997 we added a daughter
and in 1998 we added another son. The ages now are Adrienne 23 married 2008 Robbie 23 girlfriend Alanna 20
married 2007 first grandson 6months James 20 single college
student Thomas 17 senior for 2009 Blake 16 10th grade Joanna 11 6th grade Tyler 9 4th
grade. I am a stay at home working mom who does everything, but stay at home. I do
catering on the side and I do sewing for the school plays an for other people as well. I
also work with the church we attend to help set up shelters with the red cross for fire, floods, ect. we are starting
ours this year. I have put on a few pounds an let my hair go gray an loving it. Life could
not be better now I know the real reason for living..

Went to Bible college for
two years and then to Valdosta Tech for electronics, got married in 1982 to Terry Green
(Lowndes 1977)and worked at Hasty Communications for 5 years. Went full time at WAFT
radio in 87. Right now in the process of finishing raising a family.
We couldn't ask for better
kids. All were homeschooled until
9th grade; except our son who stayed home through
the 12th grade. Our oldest girl is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio, and
married, our boy is a tabbed Airborne Ranger, our next daughter is a junior majoring in Women's
Ministries at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, and our youngest girl is
attending Open Bible as a senior. I get to walk to work everyday and am able to have my
wife work with me on a part time basis.
We attend Crosspointe Church in Remerton.

then married. After our youngest started school, I went back to college. I graduated from
VSU in 1997. I teach 2nd grade at Open Bible Christian School. This is my 11th year there.
My husband Bob is the Sr. Adult pastor at Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta. We
have been serving there for the past 11 years. We have 3 boys. Nathan is 23 and works
for Valdosta State Prison as a correctional officer. Jordan is 21 and is a Volunteer Firefighter.
He is considering a career in law enforcement or a paramedic. Jared is a Freshman
at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS.
