          Mary Jane Donaldson-Parker [Donaldson]                                                         Picture

Pastor Evangelist Mary Jane Donaldson-Parker, 49, of Valdosta departed this life on Aug. 1, 2002. However on the

12th day of Jan. in 1953, she was a gift to the late John F. Donaldson and the late Katie Mac Donaldson. Being the

third of five children, she stood out as being a very different and spiritually gifted child. At the ages of five and six,

she was already singing the gospel, and at the age of eight, she astonished a congregation when she won first

place at an Easter program when she recited "Stop Gambling" by E. Cook. While traveling with her father (who at

the time was an Evangelist) and other siblings, she was anointed, appointed, and approved with the gift to preach

and she preached her trial sermon at the amazing age of 13 at the House of God Saints in Christ. Pastor Parker

graduated from Lowndes High School, later she attended Valdosta State University, and Valdosta Technical

Institute. During her final years, she was the Pastor of Mount Moriah Holiness Church and was an active National

Evangelist for the Everlasting Temple in the Word of God, Inc. Pastor Parker was also the founder of Eagle Eye

Ministries broadcasting from WJYZ 960 in Albany, Ga. She was currently serving as the District Worthy Matron of

Valdosta District #9, Order of the Eastern Star under the Jurisdiction of Georgia. She also was the Past Worthy

Matron of Sarah Chapter #10, Order of the Eastern Star. Even as a single parent, she proved that she was a very

strong warrior naturally and spiritually. She was a prime example of being a diligent seeker of God and His way,

though she may have been 49 years old at the time of her death, based on her knowledge of God's work alone she

             was much older spiritually. With all the work she has done through her lifetime, one night of sleep would not do;

therefore God saw fit to give her eternity to rest. Pastor Evangelist Mary Jane Donaldson-Parker is survived by two

loving children, Willie Edward Freeman Jr., and Whitney Cherrial Parker both of Valdosta; one special daughter-in-

law, Charlotte Denise Freeman of Valdosta; and three special grandchildren (granny babies), Kameron Kashun

Jersey City, N.J. and Franciene Johnson of Valdosta; two brothers, Elder Freddie Lee Donaldson of Valdosta and

John Lee Donaldson of Atlanta; two brothers-in-law, Elder Charles Johnson of Valdosta and Robert Ferguson of

Jersey City, N.J.; nieces, Sabrina Diane Johnson, Stephanie Nicole Donaldson, Ashley Yolanda Donaldson, and

Essie Marie Donaldson; nephews, Charles Demond Johnson, Otto Baker Johnson, Timothy Spencer Johnson, Bret
